Face masks, sanitisers for vaccine recipients

KUCHING: The Batang Lupar parliamentary constituency service centre is always ensuring that those who have already been vaccinated will continue to practise the new norms during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Batang Lupar MP Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim said her team distributed face masks and hand sanitisers to those present at Dewan Kampung Beladin and Dewan Kampung Kalok vaccination centres (PPVs).

“I had the opportunity to inspect the two PPVs. I was told that the attendance record was very encouraging.

“So far, 6,474 doses were administered to first-dose recipients at Dewan Kampung Beladin PPV while 4,372 people received their second dose,” she said in a Facebook post on Saturday (July 17).

Meanwhile, Dewan Kampung Kalok PPV has administered 7,521 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to first-dose recipients while 4,185 people received their second dose.

During her visit to the two vaccination centres on Saturday (July 17), she also distributed food and beverages to the staff at the PPVs.

Later that day, the MP also took the time to help distribute food baskets under the federal government’s Pemulih (National People’s Wellbeing and Economic Recovery Package) programme to eligible people at Kampung Kalok.

“A total of 1,000 recipients in the Beting Maro state constituency have been identified as recipients for the aid. They consist of single mothers, senior citizens and people with disabilities,” she said.
