BAU: Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep has proposed to build several facilities for the use of the State Civil Defence Force (APM).

The Deputy Minister of Transport (Riverine and Marine) said among them is the permanent site of the office and the location of the proposed training site in Demak.

“The proposal is also a token of gratitude to APM Sarawak for providing a lot of help in emergencies and disasters, especially in Bau.

“In addition, for short-term planning, I propose to upgrade the homestay in Sematan with an area of 30 acres along with facilities and equipment that can be used for APM training.

“It is hoped that this facility can help improve the efficiency of APM Sarawak personnel to help the community in emergencies and disasters,” he said.

Henry said this in a statement issued in conjunction with the Inaugural ceremony of the 65th Training and Formation of Merdeka month and the 70th Platinum of APM Sarawak State Level 2022 at Tasik Biru, here yesterday (Aug 24).
