Failure to register main SOP violation

KUCHING: Failure to register via the MySejahtera application when entering a premises, remained the most common standard operating procedure (SOP) violation last week.

Kuching OCPD ACP Ahsmon Bajah said 64 compound notices were issued by the district’s SOP Compliance team from Feb 18 to 24.

Of the figure, 40 men and 16 women were issued compounds amounting to RM56,000.

Meanwhile, eight business premises were compounded RM8,000 for the same offence.

“The most common violation committed last week was failing to ensure employees and individuals registering themselves via the MySejahtera application when entering a premises.

“All the compounds were issued under Regulation 17 (1) and 17 (2) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Local Areas of Infection) Regulation 2021 (Act 342),” he said.
