Family mart gives Kapit residents more options

KAPIT: A new Family Supermarket has opened to give more options on daily necessities to residents here.

Its opening was officiated at by the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi today.

“The Family Supermarket offers Kapit residents the option to get a variety of daily necessities at affordable and cheap prices,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nanta also held a walkabout at the Malaysian Sales Programme (PJM) “Rancak Hari Gawai” which was held at the Dewan Suarah, Kapit.

“The PJM programme is part of the economic recovery efforts being undertaken by the ministry through the trade, distribution, and retail sectors.

“Based on the 3R concept of Recovery, Revive and Revitalise it is expected to generate sales to a value of RM500 billion by the end of this year,” he said.

Also present was Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Azman Mohd Yusof, Deputy Secretary-General (Consumer Empowerment) Datin Roszanina Wahab, Senior Director-Controlled Goods and Subsidies Sector Datuk Stanley Tan, Deputy Director of the Ministry in Sarawak Peter J.Berinus Agang, and others.
