KUCHING: La Promenade Mall will host comedian Mad Sabah when his Ndak Logik national tour comes here.

Mad Sabah, whose real name is Achmed Rusli, is dubbed “the funniest and most authentic comedian” by fellow comedian Harith Iskandar, recently sold out shows in Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Johor and his home state of Sabah.
“It’s my greatest hits tour. I will be telling my best jokes from the past couple of years for the final time. After this, I’ll work on new material. This tour is years of work.
“I can’t wait to perform in Kuching. It’s a wonderful time to tour,” he said.
Before the pandemic, Mad Sabah had been steadily rising to fame. His two prior tours, ‘Crazy Poor Asian’ and ‘Super Sabah’, were all sold out.
The show at La Promenade Mall will be at the Level 5 auditorium. The mall’s tenants, namely ZORO by Domus Group, NOMS, and Black Bean Coffee & Tea will offer special pre-show dinners from 6.30pm.
ZORO is offering a three‐course set dinner, NOMS will provide free a la carte upgrades to meals, while Black Bean will be giving discounts, and also serving beverages during the show.

On Sept 3, the mall will also host Kavin Jay, the Malaysian comic whose Netflix one-hour special “Everybody Calm Down!” is highly acclaimed.
Both Mad Sabah’s ‘Ndak Logik’ and Kavin’s tour ‘I Am Sorry I Shouted!’ are the first post-pandemic stand-up tours in the country.
“We are so excited to host Mad Sabah’s tour. It is high time for all of us to laugh together. Stand-up comedy is an amazing art form that is gaining more and more popularity, especially after Netflix,” said La Promenade Mall digital marketing manager Sophia Ong.
“We’re delighted Kavin’s bringing his tour to Kuching, specifically, to La Promenade. He has already sold out multiple shows in KL and Penang.”
