SERIAN: The St. Theresa’s Parish Pastoral Council (STPPC) here hosted a farewell dinner on Sunday at the church hall to bid farewell to a seminarian, Brother Henry Jimbey.
Henry had his pastoral care formation at the St. Theresa’s parish here from Feb 11 this year. He left to continue his studies in Kuching yesterday.
Rector Fr Paul Henry, in his speech, urged parents to encourage their children to become priests.
In his speech, Henry thanked all those who had helped him or took care of him in one way or another during his short stay in the parish.
He said he would always remember his visits to over 60 villages where he met friendly and caring parishioners. He also shared his vocation call experience.
Friendly, helpful and humble, Henry had conducted several seminars and participated in church activities here.
He is well liked by the parishioners, especially the youths.
