SIBU: Rapaiee Tarip, the father of Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee, passed away at Sibu Hospital at 2.37 am today.
He was 94.
Rapaiee’s remains were transported to Dr Annuar’s house at Jalan Kangkong for the funeral rites, before being conveyed to Kemuyang Muslim Cemetery here for burial.
“Departure of a father forever. May his soul be showered with mercy and placed among the believers. Al-Fatihah,” said Dr Annuar in his Facebook post today.
Rapaiee leaves a widow Fatimah Othman, five sons and a daughter.
