KUCHING: Sarawak’s head coach, David Usop blamed the lack of rest and focus for their 4-0 lodd at the hands of JDT in a group match of Malaysia Cup 2017 campaign in Larkin on Tuesday night.

“It’s hard to describe the situation after we lost,” David said.

“Of course, players are still tired after playing against Kelantan few days ago,” he said.

David pointed out that fatigue might have affected the players to play carelessly and allow too much room for JDT.

In the Tuesday night’s action, Sarawak played without main striker, Matthew Roskam who was not fielded due to injury.

“I had to change the starting line-up following the absence of Matthew Roskam,” David added.

With the defeat, Sarawak were at the bottom of Group D which include Selangor and Terengganu. However, David believes his players will rise again.

Sarawak will play Selangor for second group match at State Stadium, Petra Jaya tonight.
