KUCHING: Yesterday’s bombings in Sri Lanka have been denounced by Welfare, Community Well-being, WomAdd Newen, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Sri Fatimah Abdullah.

Fatimah speaks at an interview on the bill amendment.

“It is a tragedy for the Christians as they were celebrating Easter Sunday,” she told New Sarawak Tribune, yesterday.

Fatimah also conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and friends.

“They are terrible acts of violence, and our prayers are with them,” she said.

There were separate explosions in churches and hotels that killed more than 160 people and injured 400 others.

Christians were attending Easter Sunday mass when the explosions hit the city of Colombo.
