DALAT: A total of 168 needy people (asnaf) from seven villages received zakat contributions from Dalat assemblywoman Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah as she continued making her rounds to ease the burden of the people.

According to a statement by UKAS, the handing over of the contribution on Sunday (April 24) started at the Al Hidayah Mosque in Kampung Medong Hilir where it was received by 60 asnaf from Kampung Medong Hilir, Kampung Medong Hulu and Kampung Medong Seberang.

Aside from that, she also presented Minor Rural Project (MRP) allocations in conjunction with Ramadan to Al Hidayah Mosque amounting to RM2,000, Kampung Medong Seberang Surau (RM1,000), and Kampung Klid Surau (RM1,000).

She continued to distribute zakat at the An-Nur Mosque in Kampung Balan which was received by 73 asnaf from Kampung Balan, Kampung Tanam and Kampung Tanam Seberang.

There, the statement said, Fatimah also distributed MRP allocations to Masjid An-Nur amounting to RM2,000 and Surau Darul Qarar Tanam Seberang amounting to RM1,000.

It stated that the programme ended with the handing over of zakat to 35 asnaf from Kampung Senau at Masjid Darul Misbah Kampung Senau Oya.

Masjid Darul Misbah Senau received a total of RM2,000 from the MRP allocation while Surau Darul An Nur Kampung Senau Hilir and Surau Darus Salam, Kampung Senau Hulu each received RM1,000.
