MUKAH: Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah is sad that Dalat’s Covid-19 status turned from orange to red on Tuesday with a total of 59 local infection cases reported within the last 14 days.

Fatimah, who is Dalat assemblywoman, said of the 22 cases reported on Tuesday, 17 were from Rumah Bihai, Rumah Simu (two from the Pasai Cluster), and Kampung Kekan and Sungai Ud (three).

She added active case detection (ACD) would be carried out in Kampung Sungai Ud beginning today.

“Swab tests for Kampung Sungai Ud villagers will begin tomorrow (Jan 28) at the village community hall, please cooperate,” she said on social media today.

Fatimah advised the villagers to stay home until the results of the swab test were known.

“Go out if necessary only, take care of own health, ensure enough rest and eat balanced food including lots of Vitamin C. If there are symptoms, go to the clinic quickly. Hopefully, we all will be safe from Covid-19 and together, we stop it from spreading,” she added.
