KUCHING: Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah’s test result for Covid-19 has come back negative yesterday.

She said she received a call from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) informing her that the result was negative.

“I was in the middle of a video conference with the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee and had received the call from a doctor of SGH.

“I want to thank my family and friends, far and near, for their prayers, support, advice and care. May we all be protected, healthy and safe at all times,” she said on WhatsApp yesterday.

Fatimah was among those who attended a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan on March 27 when an attendee was tested positive for Covid-19 a few days later.

The Dalat assemblywoman will continue to observe her 14-day self-quarantine at home which would end tomorrow.

She is currently working from home, ensuring that the delivery of food supplies to the affected community in the state goes smoothly.
