WOMEN’S DAY DO IN MUKAH
MUKAH: This year’s Women’s Day Mukah district-level celebration held at the new administrative centre today featured a live stream from the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) in Kuching.
Live streaming at official events has become part of the new normal during the recovery movement control order (RMCO) due to Covid-19 pandemic.
The live streaming from BCCK featured Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, who was also the guest of honour at the state-level celebration.
Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah also attended the event.
The theme for this year’s celebration was ‘Women in Digital Era’.
Prior to live streaming from BCCK, a health talk was conducted by Mukah Division Health Department, before a welcoming speech by Mukah District officer Shaferi Saili and a speech by the guest of honour who is also Mukah division Resident Hamdiah Bakir.
Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo, Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi and Temenggong Hendi Suhai also attended the event.
