SIBU: A local woman sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle collision along Jalan Brother Albinus yesterday (Mar 11).
The accident happened around 4.13 pm when a Toyota van collided with the rear of a Perodua Myvi.
Firefighters from Sibu station was deployed to the scene after receiving an emergency call.
Upon arrival, they found a 37-year-old woman trapped in the front seat of the van and extricated her out of the vehicle using rescue tools.
The victim, who sustained minor injuries, was then handed her over to paramedics for on-site treatment before being transferred to Sibu Hospital for further medical attention.
Meanwhile, both the drivers escaped unscathed in the collision.
