MIRI: Former Sibuti MP Datuk Ahmad Lai Bujang was laid to rest at Baluboh Islamic Cemetery in Jalan Bakam here yesterday. Earlier, Ahmad Lai was given a final prayer at Kampung Luak Mosque. The funeral prayer was joined by more than 300 people and representatives from various agencies including Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) component parties.
Among those present were Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) secretary-general Datuk Sebastian Ting; Tourism, Arts and Culture Assistant Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin; PBB Senadin chairman Julaihi Mohamad; PBB Piasau chairman Sardon Zainal; Lambir assemblyman Ripin Lamat; Miri Hospital director Dr Jack Wong; and representatives of Laku Management Sdn Bhd.
