KUCHING: The National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) has agreed to accept TVS as a strategic partner and will fund its published works through the Creative Industry Immediate Economic Action Plan (Pelaksana) initiative.
In a statement on Thursday, Finas said this was one of the key decisions made during a meeting chaired by its chairman Zakaria Abdul Hamid.
It also announced that they will continue the Finas Prihatin programme through the implementation of Finas Prihatin 2.0, with the target of benefitting 50 more industry players.
“Finas will arrange a meeting with the Central Agency for Applications for Filming and Performances by Foreign Artistes (Puspal) to facilitate matters related to filming, especially for production companies that benefit from the Film in Malaysia Incentive (Fimi).
“Finas will also arrange a meeting with the chairman of the Film Censorship Board (LPF) in the near future to discuss guidelines for publishing creative content in line with the current new norm situation,” it stated.
