MIRI: A block of workers quarters in Lutong here was destroyed by fire late Tuesday (July 5), leaving 26 people, including nine children, homeless.
Two of the people were injured and rushed to Miri Hospital for treatment.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), two fire engines with 17 firefighters from Lopeng and Miri Central were deployed to the scene following a distress call at 3.21pm.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
