MIRI: A double storey house in Pujut 8C was 70 per cent razed in a fire incident yesterday.
However, it was fortunate that the inferno involved no casualties or injuries as no one was in the house at the time of the fire.
This was because the occupants were out working, said Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Miri acting chief senior fire Supt Ahmad Nizam Sapaiee
He added, a team of firemen from Lopeng fire station were deployed to the scene upon responding to an emergency call at 3.55pm.
They used three nozzles to extinguish the fire.
The operation was completed at 5pm.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
