MIRI: A fire broke out at a storage unit behind a house in Siang-Siang Garden here early this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a distress call about the incident at 12.25 am. Six firefighters from the Miri fire station quickly responded.
Upon arriving at 12.31 am, they found the fire had already spread to the kitchen of the house and to the kitchen of the neighbouring house.
Despite neighbours’ attempts to extinguish the fire, their efforts were unsuccessful.
The firefighters took about half an hour to prevent further damage.
The operation concluded successfully at 2.37 am.
