KUCHING: An excavator caught fire this morning at the Mile 4 flyover construction site.
The fire department’s operations centre received an emergency call around 6am on the incident and deployed firefighters from Batu Lintang fire station to the scene.
Operations commander Jemiran Kemis reported that the machine parked on the roadside was badly damaged.
There were no reports of injuries and the cause of the fire has yet to be ascertained.
