SIBU: A fire at 10th Battalion General Operations Force (GOF), Jalan Lanang here has destroyed a barracks.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said all nine occupants of the building were injured in the blaze, which broke out at about 11am on Thursday (Aug 5).
“Firefighters rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 11.32am.
“Upon arrival at the scene, the operation commander reported a 16-door GOF barracks was completely destroyed.”
The fire was brought under control at around 12.09pm and the operation ended at 12.51pm.
