MIRI: Five people were left homeless after fire destroyed a wooden house at Kampung Merapa Pujut 8 here yesterday morning.
When the fire broke out, none of the occupants were in the house.
There were no reports of injuries or casualties in the incident.
According to Miri Fire and Rescue department chief, Supt Law Poh Kiong, the blaze destroyed the house completely.
A team of firemen from Lopeng fire station was rushed to the scene after being alerted at 11.39am.
Law added that the actual cause of the fire has yet to be determined as investigations are still underway.
