MIRI: Thirteen individuals, including six children in Lorong 1C, Piasau Jaya 1, were left with nothing but the clothes on their backs after a devastating fire razed a double storey wooden house to the ground, last night (Mar 22).
The blaze quickly spread through the structure, leaving behind a trail of destruction.
According to a report by the Miri Fire and Rescue department, firefighters from Miri and Lopeng fire station were mobilised to the scene after receiving an alert on the incident at 5.25pm.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
Firefighters successfully put out the fire half an hour later and the operation ended at 7.13pm.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
