MIRI: Fire razed a two-storey house at the Kampung Tudan, here yesterday.

According to a statement from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department, it was alerted to the incident at 4.18pm.

A team of five firefighters from the Lutong Fire and Rescue Station, reinforced by eight firefighters and three members of the Emergency Medical Response Services (EMRS) from Lopeng Fire and Rescue Station, responded swiftly.

Upon reaching the site, firefighters encountered a fire engulfing an uninhabited double-storey house that destroyed the upper floor.

The firefighters extinguished the fire using a single 200-foot hose from two fire engines and water sourced from nearby fire hydrants.

The fire was extinguished by 5.35 pm.
