KUCHING: Fire razed a coal storage facility of a factory located at Jalan Demak Laut 2, here this morning.
The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre said firefighters managed to prevent the fire from engulfing the main factory building.
The operation centre was alerted of the incident at 5.10am and immediately rushed firefighters to the scene.
Upon arrival, the operations commander reported that the fire involved a coal storage facility located inside the factory.
There were no reports of casualties in the incident. The cause of the fire as well as loss to properties are still under investigation.
The fire was completely put out at around 10am.
