Fire victims get aid from bikers club

MUKAH: Fire victims of RH Budin longhouse in Sungai Duan, Bukut continue to receive attention and assistance from various parties.

A few days ago, about 28 members of the motorcycle club in Mukah named Maniacos Street Car Club (MSCC) led by its president Rexion Atong, came to offer assistance to all the victims of the 13-door longhouse fire.

MSCC secretary Anderson Tujai said the assistance was the effort of all MSCC club members.

“We collected donations from the members and have given whatever we have to all victims. It’s all about helping those going through hardship,” he told reporters.

In the incident that took place on Sept 29, all 105 residents of RH Budin longhouse in Sungai Duan, Bukut survived the fire. However, the entire longhouse was destroyed.
