KUCHING: Sarawak Energy (SEB) provided relief aid to 105 residents of Rh Budin longhouse at Bukut, Balingian whose homes were destroyed in a fire recently.
Officials from Sarawak Energy and its subsidiaries Balingian Power Generation (BPG) and Balingian Energy Minerals (BEM) set up temporary makeshift tents to house some of the belongings which the residents managed to salvage from the fire as well as items that were donated to the victims.
The team also delivered plywood, mattresses, blankets, pillows, cooking utensils, and food items. School uniforms, shoes, and stationeries were also provided to the longhouse children who are studying at SK Sungai Duan.
Contractors for Balingian Power Generation, Shanghai Electric and Hock Peng also rendered support to the fire victims by providing food supplies and boxes of mineral water.
