SIMANGGANG: Firefighters were called on Tuesday (April 19) to Sri Aman Hospital to remove a ring from a patient’s finger.

“We received an emergency call around 12.13pm. A patient in the Psychiatric Ward of Sri Aman Hospital was in pain.

“His finger had swollen up due to a ring that could not be removed,” a spokesperson from Sri Aman Bomba (Fire and Rescue Department) said.

Firefighters later cut the ring, which was on the patient’s right index finger, using special equipment.

The process took about a minute and the operation ended at 1.02pm.
