MIRI: Two women had to be extricated from their seats after the car they were travelling in was involved in a self-accident at Jalan Permai here, yesterday.
It was reportedly that the car had crashed into a tree on the side of the road.
According to Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre in a statement, a team of eight firemen from Lopeng station were deployed to the scene after receiving a distressed call on the incident at 9.43pm.
Upon arrival, the team immediately extricated the victims using rescue equipment and a stretcher.
Both victims were then taken to Miri Hospital.
The operations ended at 10.30pm.
