SARIKEI: Doctors at Sarikei Hospital yesterday sought the help of the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) personnel to cut off a piece of iron piercing the arm of the patient.

The Bomba team led by PBKII Haron Bin Jenai and two other personnel from Bomba Sarikei rushed to the hospital upon receiving the request from hospital at about 2.23pm.

The team arrived at the hospital at 2.29pm.

“The firemen helped the hospital to cut the piece of iron to make it easier for the doctor to remove it.

“We finished our operation at 3.08pm,” said a spokesperson from Bomba, adding that it took them nearly more than 30 minutes to accomplish the job.
