INSKEN BOARD OF DIRECTORS

KUCHING: Datuk Goh Leng Chua is the first Sarawakian to be appointed as a board member of the National Entrepreneurship Institute (INSKEN).

Entrepreneurship Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said he officially inducted the new INSKEN board members who included Goh on Sunday.

He also revealed that the six newly appointed board members comprised professionals in various corporate sectors.

Wan Junaidi also congratulated all the newly appointed INSKEN board of directors, namely Datuk Goh Leng Chua; General (R) Tan Sri Datuk Zulkiple Kassim; Kapten (R) Hazli Hassan; Datuk Zamri Salleh; Datuk Huan Cheng Guan and Datuk Sham Shamrat Sen Gupta.

“I am very confident in the credibility of all the newly appointed INSKEN board of directors.

“Their appointments will further strengthen the existing top management in performing the duties and responsibilities entrusted to them effectively and provide the best service to the community and micro-entrepreneurs in our country,” he said in a press statement on Sunday.

 Wan Junaidi explained that the appointment of Goh, who had extensive experience in law and business, was crucial “in order to expand our views in developing future entrepreneurs.”

Added the minister, “He (Goh) has served as a board member at the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) and he is currently serving as a board member of the Sarawak Biodiversity Central Board (SBC).

“With his experience, we hope that he can help enhance the vision and mission of INSKEN in empowering more entrepreneurs and to uplift INSKEN as a center for entrepreneur excellence.”

Wan Junaidi added that INSKEN would continue to provide training to entrepreneurs and Cooperatives.
