KUCHING: Time Zone officially opened its first East Malaysian store at Vivacity Megamall here, offering a wide range of trendy watches as well as other accessories.

Marketing manager May Yan said among brands available at the store are Ice-Watch, KOMONO, William L.1985, Techné Instruments, Greyhours, Corniche, Bravur and Marathon Watch.

“These timepieces are of high-quality and affordable, they are (mostly) suited to modern style. Our targeted customers or market would be the young generation and professionals,” she said.

Director Mirzan Meer said Time Zone continues to search for brands with long-term vision and lasting value – as watches were often as investment pieces.

“Having pursued a formal education in design myself, I knew what it meant to fall in love with creating products and sharing them with the world. We were more inclined to work with brands whose founders are still directing their growth.

“The objectives are purer; of course, profit is important, but growth also means spreading the culture and developing the brand value” he added.

Time Zone, the watch division of the Habib Group, was formed in 1992. It started out by producing Habib watches independently-manufactured in Hong Kong and China and retailed in Malaysia.

Throughout the years, Time Zone took part in numerous jewellery and watches trade shows around the world and connected with several watchmakers.
