KUCHING: A 44-year-old man committed suicide by hanging yesterday morning. Rosdi bin Ahmad from Simunjan, a fisherman was found in a drain with a rope on his neck at Kampung Serpan Ulu, Asajaya.
His father said his son has been behaving abnormally over the last two to three days and appeared to be always angry. He said his son would punch the walls of the house. This was due to his grandson who was
in the intensive care unit after an accident.
Rosdi did not have a history of mental illness, said his father but was a hot tempered man. Since Rosdi’s son was admitted, his father added that he (the deceased) was never the same again.
Police classified the case as sudden death report and are investigating. A post mortem was conducted yesterday afternoon at 5pm and determined the cause of death was hanging.
