LIMBANG: What was thought to be fish caught in a fishing net thrown into a creek at Kampung Loagan Limbun turned out to be a six-foot-long crocodile instead.
A local fisherman made the shocking find when he went to check on his catch.
Wasting no time, he quickly informed the villagers and contacted the Civil Defence Force (APM) for help.
APM Limbang officer Lt Mirwan Shah Masri said his men were deployed to the scene after they received a call around 9.30 am yesterday (March 29).
It took about 30 minutes for the three-member team and Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) officers to free the 60-kg crocodile from the net.
The reptile was later handed over to SFC Miri.
