MUKAH: A man from Kampung Penipah here died while out fishing with two friends in two separate boats.
“Initial investigations revealed that the victim, 42, fell into the sea from his boat,” said Mukah police chief DSP Jimmy Panyau, yesterday.
When the victim was pulled up into the boat, he was unconscious and immediately taken to Kampung Penipah jetty about two kilometres from his house.
He was rushed to Mukah Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
There were no injury marks found on his body and the case has been classified as sudden death.
