MIRI: Five men were arrested for their involvement in break-in activities here.
Miri district police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah said the men were arrested in separate raids, carried out by a team of Miri CID (Criminal Investigation Department) personnel on Sept 4 and Sept 5, led by Insp Mizlan Abdul Gani.
The men, aged between 17 and 45, were detained to facilitate police investigation.
With these arrests, the police have successfully solved two home burglary cases around the city in less than 24 hours.
The team, in the first raid, seized a 32-inch television, worth RM500, which was believed to be stolen on Sept 4 in Piasau here.
