REPOK: A total of five farm road construction projects under the Agricultural Facilitation Fund (AFF) Jaya Tani programme have been approved to help small farmers in Sarawak.
The project locations involved are Sungai Merudu, Sungai Paoh, Sungai Tapang, Sungai Kawan and Sungai Baron.
These projects are the result of an application submitted by the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change and Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii to the Sarawak Land Development Board (SLDB).
All information related to the projects was conveyed to the landlords and contractors involved through a briefing organised by the SLDB held at the Repok Constituency Service Centre on Friday.
SLDB civil engineer James Uleh Sali said, the project tender process will start this month and the closing date is on Sept 15.
“The projects are expected to take eight months to implement and the landlords and contractors are requested to cooperate fully throughout the implementation of this project,” he said.
