Five foreign women detained during raid on entertainment outlet

MIRI: Five foreign women were arrested during a police raid on an entertainment outlet located at Sungai Tujuh here on Friday night.

Miri District Deputy Police chief, Supt Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said during the 7.30pm raid, the police also detained a local man, aged 19, believed to be the caretaker.

“Acting on public tip-off and intelligence investigation, the police raided the premises before arresting a Vietnamese woman and four Indonesian women, aged between 20 and 33 years old.

“A total of RM156, a condom and a bottle of massage oil were also confiscated,” he said here.

Stanley said all suspects were taken to the Miri Central Police Station for further investigation.

He said the case was being investigated under Section 372A and 372B of the Penal Code.
