KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has decided to impose the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) on five longhouses in Mukah.
These longhouses are Rumah Panjang Linu Jugah, Rumah Panjang Jali Empaling, Rumah Panjang Lanyau Tuli, Rumah Panjang Manna Mulok and Rumah Panjang Nelson Chuat Glong.
They will be under the lockdown effectively from May 3 until May 16.
SDMC in a statement on Sunday (May 2) also announced the extension of the EMCO at two longhouses — Rumah Juni Ulu Pedanum in Pakan, from May 1 until May 7, and Rumah Terrance Tarang in Nanga Selaut Ili, Julau from May 2 until May 15.
With regards to number of cases according to districts, Bau changed status from orange to red as it has recorded 45 local infection cases in the last 14 days.
Simunjan also changed status from green to yellow as it recorded one new local infection case today (May 2).
The statement pointed out that there are 24 red districts, 12 yellow and no green.
