
LIMBANG: Continuous down pour since Friday night, caused five primary schools in low-lying areas in Limbang to be flooded.
However, there were no evacuations as the affected schools were closed following Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Limbang district education office, the affected schools were Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Ukong, SK Kuala Penganan, SK RC Kubong, SK Ulu Lubai and SK Nanga Merit.
Meanwhile, Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department operations centre reported that some of the schools recorded water level rising up to eight feet.
