KUCHING ENGINEERING COMPANY CLUSTER

KUCHING: Arkitek KDI SB said five of its employees, who had contact with a positive Covid-19 case (case 579), went for Covid-19 tests and that their results came back negative.

The architect firm, in a statement on Monday, said that on July 7, the employees had contact with a KTA engineer during a meeting at their office conference room here.

“All of them performed the necessary tests on Monday and their test results, released on the same day, were negative,” it said.

The architect firm added that in compliance with the person under investigation (PUI) requirement, five of them would be quarantined at home until July 22.

“We have allowed other employees who are not PUIs to return to the office on July 14 (yesterday). We have stopped conducting meetings with persons outside our office and will only conduct online meetings,” it added.

The architect firm added that office sanitisation and disinfection procedures are carried out regularly in accordance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs), including temperature checks, social distancing, wearing of masks and use of hand sanitiser, to curb the spread of the virus.
