SIBU: Several low-lying areas here were hit by flood waters on Monday (Sept 14) after a couple of hours of heavy downpour.
Roads in the affected areas were congested as the floods slowed down traffic.
Certain portions of the main roads leading to the town were also slightly inundated.
Apart from that, several rural areas namely Durin, Kanowit and others were also affected by flood waters.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) is monitoring the situation closely and advised the residents to always stay vigilant.
