KUCHING: Continuous rain since early this morning has led to flash floods in Kuching and Kota Samarahan, making it difficult for vehicles to move through the inundated areas.

The places impacted by the flash floods include Tabuan Dayak, Mile 3 Underpass, Rock Road, Taman Desa Wira, Padang Merdeka, Uni Garden, Jalan Ong Tiang Swee, Batu Lintang, and Jalan Padungan.

Some cars were seen unable to travel via the Mile 3 Underpass due to the flooding.

Several residents in Tabuan Dayak have also been affected by the flood, where the water has risen to waist-deep levels.

At the time of this writing, vehicles travelling towards Mile 6 were seen as being unable to pass through due to the flash floods.

Members of the public are seen to have parked their vehicles on higher ground, hoping and waiting for the waters to subside.

Another area that was also affected by the heavy downpour is the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).
