MUKAH: The recently launched Tellian floating market at Sungai Tellian here commenced operation today (Dec 9) and received good response from customers.
New Sarawak Tribune saw that three longboats were seen berthing at the pontoon at the landing ground of the floating market.
Traders in each boat offered various kinds of goods, mostly fresh food comprising vegetables, jungle products and others at reasonable prices.
Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo launched the floating market here on Dec 2.
It was linked to MukahXtra, a new development initiative aimed at boosting the local economy.
