LONG BEMANG: A total of 547 food packets were distributed to residents in Kampung Long Bemang who were affected by floods last week.
The government distributed the aid through the Miri Division Social Welfare Department in collaboration with the Telang Usan District Office recently.
According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), the food aid was given to reduce the burden of the people in getting their daily necessities.
“The effort to distribute the food aid was made via four wheel drive vehicles.
“Apart from Kampung Long Bemang, similar aid was also channelled to Kampung Long Wat,” UKAS said.
