Fly Jalur Gemilang, Sarawak flags

Date:

MIRI: Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang has called on Mirians to fly the National flag, ‘Jalur Gemilang’ and the Sarawak flag at public places, government buildings, commercial houses, organisation buildings and residential houses until September 20.

He also encouraged the public and government bodies to decorate their properties with colourful bulbs for the National Day celebration today and Malaysia Day celebration from September 10 to September 16.

Although the celebrations would be scaled down because of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the raising of the National and State flags and use of colour bulbs around the buildings would add to the festivities, promote the spirit of patriotism, the people’s love for the country and national unity, Yii said.
