KUCHING: The flying doctor services (FDS) to Sri Aman, Miri, Kapit, Samarahan, Bintulu and Kuching regions have been scheduled from Feb 16 to 26, the state Health Department announced through a statement on Monday (Feb 15).

For the Sri Aman region the whole day sessions are scheduled to be held on Feb 16 at Rumah Munggu Sawa, Pantu and Rumah Mamut, Langgir, in Lingga; Feb 17 it will be held at Rumah Rimong, Begantong and Rumah Lidom, Sungai Paya, Menjuau; Feb 18 it will visit Rumah Nyandang, Ulu Akup, Skrang and Rumah Bada, Ng Talong, in Ulu Engkari while in the morning of Feb 19 it will be at Nanga Bawie, in Ulu Lemanak.

Meanwhile for the Miri region, the service will only be held in the morning. On Feb 16 (today) it will visit Long Kelian; on Feb 17 it will be at Ba’ Data Bila; FDS will be at Long Liau on Feb 18; on Feb 19 it will be at Long Buken; on Feb 22 it will be at Ba’ Purau while on Feb 23 the service will be conducted at Ba’ Pakan.

For the Kapit region, there will be morning sessions only for areas such as Long Singut on Feb 16 (today); at Rumah Tedong on Feb 18; at Long Unai on Feb 19 and at Long Tanyit on Feb 24. There will be whole day sessions at Rumah Achau and Rumah Layang on Feb 17; at Sang Anau and Batu Keling on Feb 22; at Long Jawe and Long Kebuho on Feb 23; at Punan Busang and Lusong Laku on Feb 25 while on Feb 26, the FDS will visit Long Kajang and Long Abit.

In Samarahan region, the services will be conducted at Plaie Atas and Pendawan on Feb 22 while in the morning of Feb 23, it will go to SRK Tuba Tengah. On Feb 24, FDS will be held for the whole day at Muding and Kampung Ijok.

Bintulu will have its share of the whole day sessions at Tubau’s Rumah Drick, Jelalong and Rumah Jerangku on Feb 24; at Rumah Bakat and Long Biyak both of Ulu Kakus on Feb 25 and on the next day (Feb 26) the service will be at Rumah Unang, Sigu and Rumah Imban also in Sigu.

A whole day session will be held at Kuching region on Feb 25 at Kpg Sapit and Kpg Rejoi Nyegol; Feb 26 at Kpg Muk Ayun and Kpg Bojong Sting.

“Those living in these areas are expected to wait for the visit from the FDS at their respective homes or longhouses,” said the department in a statement.
