KUCHING: A total of 1,000 households in the Tanjung Datu constituency received food supply aid in conjunction with Ramadan month.
Its assemblywoman Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu said the help were distributed to three zones, namely Lundu, Sampadi and Sematan. She said it was part of the ‘fidyah’ donation to the dwellers.
“We have to distribute contributions according to zones in limited amounts due to the Covid-19 conditional movement control order (CMCO) which is being enforced according to the set standard operating procedures (SOPs).
“Thank you to the donors and all who helped from the beginning to the end of the distribution,” she said on Friday.
At the same time, she also called on the local residents to register themselves for the Covid-19 vaccines in the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (NCIP).
“Don’t be afraid to register to get the vaccine through the MySejahtera application or go to the Lundu district office.
“Together we take care of ourselves, our families and the community as a whole in Tanjong Datu,” she said.
Jamilah also urged the dwellers to continue adhering to the SOPs issued by the local authorities amid the increase in Covid-19 cases in Lundu.
