KUCHING: A total of 3,571 families in the Padungan constituency will be receiving food aid under the Sarawakku Sayang Special Assistance (BKSS) 6.0 package.
Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Kuching branch treasurer and spokesman Jong Yean Pin said the distribution of food supply began on Monday and will go on until June 14.
“The aid distribution was coordinated by the community leaders and aims to alleviate the burden of the needy in Padungan,” he said in a statement today.
Jong also expressed his gratitude towards the state government for its concern towards the people of Sarawak.
“This assistance will have a positive impact for the households affected by the pandemic,” he said.
Those who require food aid but have been inadvertently left out from the list of recipients are urged to contact SUPP Kuching branch (016-2494633) or Jong (016-8864855).
