Its assemblyman Datuk Talib Zulpilip, when contacted by a reporter, said the assistance (in the form of essential food items) donated by the Bintulu Islamic Welfare Trust Board (Lakib), is to help ease the financial burden of the people.

Talib, who is also the Minister in the Chief Minister’s Office (Integrity and Ombudsman), advised Bintulu citizens to obey the instructions of the authorities throughout the MCO period, saying that this is the best way to help the government curb the spread of Covid-19.

On another note, Bintulu police on Friday received a total of 6,000 face masks from Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing to be used by personnel involved in the MCO operations including the army and Rela.
